Ford B-Max Could be Destined For U.S. Shores After All

Just think about it. Would it really be that big of a stretch? We already know that the upcoming Ford C-Max hybrid and C-Max Energi plug-in are heading out way. What's more, the forthcoming Ford B-Max is actually based on a platform that we are quite familiar with. And that would be the Ford Fiesta.

Wait, wait, wait... You don't know what the Ford B-Max is yet? Right, we should probably take the time to explain! It's a new compact MPV that the American automaker is planning to debut at the Geneva Motor Show, this March. What makes us here at John Bleakley Ford quite excited for it is the fact that it offers such a wide range of utility in such an efficient package.

But how exactly does it plan to do that? Well first, there's the fact that it's a slightly larger five-door hatchback. This equates to more cargo room. Then there's the two sliding rear doors. These make for greater ease of access to the back, as well as easier loading and unloading. As for its power source... That would be a a 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine. This powerplant works to produce 123 horsepower and can achieve up to 49 mpg in the EU cycle. In other words, it's both capable and efficient.
